Let the fleece do it.
Penfield Forefounders Mattawa Fleece, Lead Gray
We love the autumnal colours on this Penfield fleece. The Mattawa’s multicoloured pattern is broken up by a plain chest pocket. Blue, rust and green give it more depth than a solid fleece. Pair it with plain trousers so the pattern remains the focus.
£112.50 shown at Working Class Heroes / £150 list

A little fringe benefit.
M&S Pure Cotton Velvet Fringed Cushion
This £25 M&S cushion has a Soho House look at a fraction of the cost. Burgundy velvet, a generous fringe and a feather filling make it an easy way to put some colour on a pale sofa. It feels satisfyingly substantial in real life, too. We love it.
£25 · 50 × 50cm
Cotton velvet; feather filling.

The Soho Home comparison describes the look, not equivalent materials or construction: M&S £25 versus Soho Home velvet cushions listed from £150.

Humantra × SR_A Carbon Grape
British designer Samuel Ross, founder of A-COLD-WALL*, has entered the hydration chat. His SR_A collaboration gives Humantra a silver-and-purple look and a limited grape flavour. A welcome way to mix up your sports hydration when the usual flavours start to feel a little too familiar.

A better sort of pattern.
UNIQLO × JW Anderson Lambswool Fair Isle Jumper
Does anything say autumn quite like a Fair Isle jumper? This UNIQLO × JW Anderson version puts the pattern across the shoulders, leaving the black lambswool body plain. We love it: the sort of knit we can see ourselves wearing for years.
£39.90 · 100% wool

Walkers Gold — Sea Salt & Olive Oil
Walkers has gone Gold, with Sea Salt & Olive Oil, Somerset Cheddar & Onion and Black Truffle leading the new range. Sea Salt & Olive Oil is our office favourite. We made short work of all three.

Coffee, with good pleats.
Georg Jensen Bernadotte French Coffee Press
We love this Georg Jensen fluted steel press. First, it looks like something from Issey Miyake. Second, it holds a litre: enough for a generous brew and a second or third cup, without the faff of starting again. The double-walled body helps keep the coffee warm, so we can take our time. We’ve had ours for four years, and both the filter and the fluted steel still look great and work perfectly.
£130 / 1 litre · checked 23 Oct
One litre; double-walled stainless steel. Owned and used by us for four years.
Product details ↗Details & sources
An established Bernadotte design, included as an editor’s exception rather than an October launch.
Editorial notes & sources
Double-wall construction helps retain heat; steel alone is not the explanation. Capacity: one litre. Owned and used by us for four years.

The Ordinary HA + Asiaticoside Lip Treatment
Cold air, central heating, lip balm in a jacket we can’t remember wearing. The Ordinary’s 10ml tube combines hyaluronic acid and glycerin for less than a tenner. One to keep beside the keys, until it joins the others in a coat pocket.

Burberry Narrow Check Cashmere Scarf — Black Watch
Dark blue and green cashmere that goes with almost anything. Burberry’s Black Watch check has a timelessness we love, with enough colour and character to keep it interesting. The narrow cut keeps things modern without the duvet-around-your-neck effect. Wear it with a navy coat or grey sweatshirt.

The shake goes to the diner.
Per4m Advanced Protein — Cherry Cola Float
Bored of chocolate, vanilla and strawberry? The protein shake appears to have visited an American diner. Per4m’s Cherry Cola Float provides 20g of protein per 33g serving, with roughly 24 servings in the 800g tub. The blend includes cow’s-milk proteins and egg white, so it isn’t vegan.
£39.99 · 800g

Another use for your hands.
Aesop Solais Replenishing Hand Serum
A hand serum before your hand balm, as autumn brings a drop in temperature. Solais contains niacinamide and adds another step to the familiar tube-by-the-sink routine. Aesop describes a light floral, citrus and herbal scent, with neroli, bergamot and lavender. One for people who already enjoy looking after their hands.

SURI 2.0 — Canyon Sunrise
SURI’s clay-coloured 2.0 has more going for it than a good bathroom-shelf presence. A pressure sensor warns when you brush too hard, while the brand quotes more than a month between charges. Wireless USB-C charging and a magnetic mirror mount help keep the sink clear.
Price varies by bundle · check SURI
Month-plus battery life is a brand specification. UV-C case costs extra.
Product details ↗Details & sources
New colour, not newly invented toothbrush technology.
Editorial notes & sources
Useful differences: pressure warning, 33,000 sonic vibrations/minute, wireless USB-C charging, aluminium body and mirror mount. Month-plus battery is SURI’s specification, not our test. Optional UV-C case; bundle prices differ.

17One powder. Less measuring.
Free Soul CreaGlow — Mango
Creatine, marine collagen and electrolytes in one mango-flavoured drink: 5g of creatine, 2.5g of marine collagen and electrolytes per serving. At £34.99 for 30 servings, that’s about £1.17 a day. The shortcut is measuring one powder rather than several; the portion is two flat teaspoons, not a mystery scoop.
£34.99 · 30 × 12g servings · about £1.17 per serving
Two flat teaspoons per serving. Contains fish; not vegan. Savings are in preparation, not a verified price comparison.
Product details ↗Details & sources
Brand directions give a 12g portion as two flat teaspoons. Price, portions and ingredients are provided by Free Soul and the linked UK listing.
Editorial notes & sources
£34.99 ÷ 30 = £1.1663, rounded to £1.17 per 12g portion. Brand directions say two flat teaspoons; do not assume a supplied scoop. Each portion: 5g creatine, 2.5g marine collagen plus electrolytes. Convenience is fewer powders to measure; no like-for-like monetary saving is established. Contains fish.

Foam at the roots.
Dyson Amino Leave-in Scalp Bubble Treatment
Dyson brings niacinamide and a foam-to-serum texture to scalp care. Its headline 63% hair-loss reduction is a brand claim; Dyson’s Canadian notes describe a comb test with 25 people after 12 weeks of daily use. The useful distinction: fewer hairs shed in a comb test does not establish that it reverses male-pattern hair loss.
£46 · 75ml
Follow the directions for daily use. The 63% figure is a brand-reported result from a small comb test.
Product details ↗Details & sources
2026 arrival. Dyson reports daily use for 12 weeks; Canadian brand notes specify a 25-person comb test. We did not locate a peer-reviewed paper for the finished formula.
Evidence behind the claim
Dyson’s Canadian notes specify a comb test in 25 people after 12 weeks. We did not locate a peer-reviewed paper for this finished formula or sufficient published detail to assess a placebo comparison. Ingredient studies cannot validate the product’s exact 63% claim.

A better kind of downtime.
TENGA Flip Zero Black
A favourite from our sex-toy edit, TENGA’s Flip Zero Black is a reusable manual sleeve that opens fully for cleaning and drying. The firm interior is the appeal if softer sleeves leave you wanting more; the flip-open design is the practical detail we like. It scores about 4.3 out of 5 from 25 reviews on TENGA’s UK page. Fit remains personal, and this version has no motor.

A brighter start.
Lumie Task, Sage
For mornings when the sky barely gets going. Lumie Task brings bright, daylight-like light to the desk, with a dimmer so we can adjust it for reading or work. Its colour-accurate light helps things look natural rather than washed out. At £279 it is a considered purchase; its light-therapy claims are a separate question from whether it makes a useful desk lamp.
£279 · checked 23 Oct
Good to know. Lux tells you how much light reaches a surface—in this case, where you’re sitting. Lumie Task provides 10,000 lux at 15cm, but you’ll receive less as you move further away, so check its positioning guidance when setting it up. CRI is a separate measure of how true-to-life colours look under the lamp.
Product details ↗Details & sources
An established design for darker mornings, not a new October launch.
Editorial notes & sources
In plain terms: bright light imitates daylight; lux measures brightness reaching you, and it falls as you move away. CRI describes colour accuracy, not treatment strength. Lumie quotes 10,000 lux at 15cm but starts its use guidance at around 50cm; do not combine those into one intensity claim. T3’s reviewer liked the light after a month, but that experience is not clinical evidence. NHS guidance says evidence for SAD treatment is uncertain; speak to a GP about suitability before trying light therapy for SAD.
